Visitors can learn about plant and animal life found in estuarine habitats through the Afternoon Insight Lecture Series. Get a closer look at a new topic each themed month, led by knowledgeable volunteer docents as well as researchers and members of environmental organizations.
This month Arleen and Alan Bessette will present, “Florida’s Beautiful & Unique Mushrooms: A Photographic Foray”. A brief introduction to some of the common uses of mushrooms and their role in ecology will be presented. A photographic exploration of some of Florida’s fascinating mushroom species and their associated habitats will also be highlighted.
