St. Johns County Parks & Rec is temaing up with the Florida Wildlife Commission to offer a freshwater Boating & Fishing Camp for middle school students. Campers will learn boat safety skills as well as about freshwater fish and their habitat, the proper tackle to use in freshwater, and how to properly clean fish. Campers must have completed 6th grade to be eligible for this camp.
The program is limited to 20 campers. Registration is $170 and includes one rod and reel, tackle box, and tackle. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Click on the event website link to register.
