The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes the return of alternative-pop act Barenaked Ladies and their “Last Summer on Earth 2018” Tour featuring special guests Better Than Ezra and KT Tunstall. “The Last Summer on Earth tour is something we all really look forward to.” states Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies. “From its’ inception, it’s been about putting together great live acts to give the audience a great night out. 2018 is going to be a blast because we’re touring with friends! Kevin Griffin from Better Than Ezra has been a songwriting collaborator for almost a decade and KT and I rocked together in Yukon Kornelius. This is going to be a great tour with lots of collaboration.”
With next year marking the thirtieth anniversary of the Toronto-based band, which has now sold over 14 million albums worldwide and earned multiple JUNO Awards and Grammy nominations, “Fake Nudes” (their latest and 15th studio album) emerges as their most dynamic album to date. “Fake Nudes” builds off the band’s harmony-rich hybrid of folk and pop/rock and pushes into more eclectic sonic terrain marking the band’s most dynamic record to date. It is finely crafted yet flowing with carefree energy, stylistically adventurous yet rooted in timeless melodies and unforgettable hooks.
Better Than Ezra is an American alternative rock band based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Formed in 1988 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the current band consists of Kevin Griffin (vocals and guitar), Tom Drummond (bass guitar), and Michael Jerome (drums). The band has released 8 studio albums, the most recent one being 2014’s “All Together Now”. They’re best known for their 1993 platinum album “Deluxe” and the 1995 single “Good”, which hit #1 on the Hot Modern Rocks Tracks charts.
