ESHC is pleased to invite the public to attend a “Raise the Roof” Ground Breaking Ceremony and Twentieth Anniversary Celebration on Monday, May 14, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at 28-30 Smith St adjoining the Transitional and Permanent Housing Program Campus located at 62 Chapin Street in St. Augustine.  Two new permanent houses for homeless children and their parents will be constructed on Smith Street bringing the total number of permanent houses in the program to seven. Funding for the project was made possible with a Homeless Housing Assistance Loan from Florida Housing Finance Corporation.

ESHC, Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County, Inc., will celebrate its twentieth year of service in the community this year, having been founded June 16 1998 and organized November 25, 1998. Founding members, past presidents, members, donors and volunteers of ESHC will be recognized at this celebration. An informal picnic style dinner will follow the groundbreaking.

Organized November 25, 1998, ESHC served as lead agency for the St. Johns County Continuum of Care for 15 years and now provides transitional and permanent housing to homeless families with children. ESHC’s mission is to provide services that facilitate the transition of adults and children from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
