Join Park Ranger Ellen, to explore the ecology of Florida’s coast on an informative bird walk in Fort Matanzas’s diverse habitat. Please meet at the Fort Matanzas Visitor Center if you are interested in participating. The walk is from 9:30am to 11:30am. Don’t forget to bring bug repellent, binoculars, and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. This bird walk is appropriate for all ages and difficulty level is mild, with some uneven or sandy terrain encountered during the walk. This bird walk is being held as part of “Global Big Day” for migratory birds.

Fort Matanzas is open from 9:00am to 5:30pm. There is no entrance or parking fees required to visit the park or to participate in the bird walk. This event is subject to cancellation due to bad weather.
