Don your headsets and enjoy a unique experience in 2D, 3D, and VR (Virtual Reality) as you are spirited away to Harlem’s Renaissance during the 1920’s. This traveling exhibit, designed for adults as well as students, visits influential musicians, artists and writers from Florida who contributed to the movement. The experience explores the infamous integrated Savoy Ballroom owned by “Gangster” Moe Paddon and takes you on a virtual tour of live dance performances in an authentic speakeasy.

The Broward County Library and the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, are the host recipients of the grant and are excited that the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center is the first location for the traveling exhibit, “Harlem Renaissance through Virtual Reality & Imagery”.

The Harlem Renaissance Experience debuted on April 4 and will be available through May 9, 2018. There is an entry fee of $10 for adults / $5 for youth ages 17 and under.

Museum Hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 12:30pm-4:30pm.
