Have you ever wondered what it looks like inside Flagler College? Imagined what it was like when it was the Hotel Ponce de Leon? Historic Tours of Flagler College highlight the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, a nationally designated historic landmark building, built by Henry Flagler in 1888.
Millionaire industrialist/developer Henry Morrison Flagler envisioned creating an American Riviera in St. Augustine and the Hotel Ponce de Leon, now Flagler College, has recaptured the architectural spirit of old Europe. The Hotel is as prestigious now as it was in 1888. This beautiful Spanish Revival structure represents proof that preserving the past is compatible with modern urban life.
