Fort Matanzas and the National Park Service invites you to join them from 11:30am-1:00pm for a guided interpretive walk around the Matanzas Inlet to discover inlet dynamics and what makes this area special. Hikers will see seashells and seabirds, learn about coquina stone, dune vegetation, heavy minerals, mollusks, the cool habits of crabs, and much more.
Reservations are not required for this event. Vehicle parking is available at the parking lot on the west side of A1A, just north of the Matanzas Inlet Bridge. Please arrive no later than 11:15 am. There is no entrance or parking fee required to visit the park or participate in this event. This Inlet and Beach Walk is subject to cancellation due to bad weather.
