Lace up your sneakers, grease up your bike, and get your swim cap ready for the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation’s 2018 Just Tri It! Kids Triathlon. Children ages 5 through 14 are invited to join the fun on Sunday, April 15 at the Solomon Calhoun Center. This non-competitive event provides children with the chance to participate in a triathlon and Just Tri It! The first 150 children to pick up race packets will receive a t-shirt, and every child that completes the race will receive a medal.
Early registration fee is $20 per entry, and $10 for each additional child from the same family if paid by February 28.
General registration fee, available between March 1 and April 13, is $30 per entry and $15 for each additional child from the same family.
Late registration is available April 14 & 15 for $40, and an additional $20 for each child from the same family. Registration is not available on the day of the event.
Necessary equipment includes bike helmets, swim goggles, sunscreen, and any other accessories your child may need during the race. Training wheels on bikes will not be permitted.
Early packet pickup is 11 am-3 pm, Saturday, April 14, at the Solomon Calhoun Center. Registration fees help cover the cost of t-shirts, medals, and event materials and are non-refundable.
Following the Kids Triathlon, the Tot Trot, a 100-yard dash for children ages 5 and under, is open to the public free of charge. Registration will be available from 11 am-3 pm on Saturday, April 14 and prior to the event on Sunday, April 15 at the Solomon Calhoun Center.
