Enjoy the kick-off to the Christmas Holiday season with this annual celebration…the Nights of Lights “Light Up Night”.  Holiday music!  The lighting of the Christmas Tree!  The exciting countdown to the sparkle of millions of tiny white lights glowing along the ancient streets and historic buildings of the Nation’s oldest city!

The program usually begins at 4:00pm with a musical performance by Showtime USA in front of St. Augustine’s City Hall (Lightner Museum).  Then at 5:30pm,  Holiday music will fill the air from the Gazebo stage in the city’s historic Plaza de la Constitucion.  At 6:30pm, the lighting ceremony begins with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, followed by the countdown to the flipping of the switch that fills every corner of the city with brilliant, magical holiday sparkle.  The musical entertainment continues in the Plaza until 8:00pm.

Stay and linger in the downtown area.  Grab dinner.  Do some shopping or simply enjoy the beauty of the city and the company of good friends.  Come join the fun!  Selected by National Geographic as one of the ten best holiday lighting displays in the world!
